There is a Deep Kind of Bravery in Slowing Down
In a world that rewards urgency, endless output, and constant striving, choosing stillness can feel like a radical act. For those of us walking the spiritual path, it becomes a necessity—a return. It is a remembering and a reclamation of our natural rhythm in a world that forgot how to breathe.
Right now, I find myself in that place—the in-between. A pause. A slowing down. I’ve consciously stepped away from schedules, sessions, and the act of holding space for others. As I settle into this stillness, a familiar, wise knowing arises: we are not designed to be in constant motion. We are not meant to be always on.
Nature Doesn’t Bloom All Year
Nature cycles through her seasons unapologetically. She rests, sheds, and sleeps before daring to grow again. Yet, somewhere along the way, we forgot we were part of her. We began to believe our value lies in what we produce, how busy we are, and how much we give away.
But the pause? The pause is sacred. It is not laziness. It is not weakness. It is a profound act of self-respect. In the quiet space, we begin to hear the voice we’ve been too busy to notice. This voice speaks not in urgency but in truth. It whispers, “Come back to yourself.”
The Myth of Constant Doing
It’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that if we stop, everything will fall apart. We worry about losing momentum, opportunities, or becoming irrelevant. However, I want to offer something gentler and more honest: when we never stop, we fall apart anyway.
Our nervous systems can only take so much before they scream for attention—through exhaustion, anxiety, illness, or disconnection. Often, by the time we finally listen, we are already depleted. What if we stopped waiting for a crisis to give ourselves permission to rest?
What if we learned to honour the pause not as a break in progress, but as part of the process?
Stillness is Not Emptiness
When we stop, it can feel uncomfortable at first. Silence can be loud when we’ve spent years filling it. But stillness is not emptiness; it is spaciousness.
In these quieter moments, clarity often emerges—not forced, but felt. Answers rise when we stop looking for them. The body speaks when we finally listen. Creativity stirs in the space we make for her. When I am still, I reconnect with my truth—not the version shaped by deadlines, algorithms, or external noise, but the version that knows how to feel, trust, and follow the subtle guidance within.
This is what I hope for you, too.
Inviting the Pause Into Everyday Life
You don’t need a holiday or a full week away to claim stillness. The pause can begin with a choice, a breath, or a boundary. Here are a few gentle ways to welcome it:
Start your morning in silence before reaching for your phone. Let your inner world greet you before the outer one does.
Sit with a cup of tea and do nothing. No podcast. No to-do list. Just presence.
Let your journal hold your thoughts, uncensored. Write without needing it to be profound.
Take a mindful walk in nature without headphones or distractions. Let the land remind you what your pace truly feels like.
Say no without explanation. Rest without guilt. Cancel something if your energy says no, even if your calendar says yes.
Let rest be as productive as action. Let being be as valuable as doing.
The Kind Living Space is Built on This Truth
So much of what I offer—from intuitive coaching and regression to sacred healing, creative workshops, and spiritual connection—is rooted in the pause. I create a safe, spacious container where the soul can unfold without pressure. Every circle, every reading, every retreat is an invitation back to yourself.
You don’t need to be “ready.” You don’t need to be fixed, perfect, or healed. You only need to be willing to meet yourself—honestly, tenderly, and without judgment.
The pause makes that possible.
You Are Not Behind
This is the reminder I offer to you, wherever you are on your journey: you are not behind. You are not lazy. You are not falling short. You are in a cycle. A rhythm. A remembering. Even when you do nothing at all, you are still worthy, still whole, still profoundly enough.
Take your rest. Let the world spin without you for a while. When you return, you’ll do so with deeper clarity, stronger roots, and a soul that has had time to breathe.
And when I return—on July 29th—I’ll be holding space for you once more, with warmth, presence, and new offerings to guide you back to your own centre.
Our next retreat is coming this August—a powerful, nourishing space to come home to yourself in sacred community. The Wild Goddess Circles are full until October, but if you’d like to stay close to what’s unfolding, there’s much more ahead. You can book ahead on the website, or message me.
Stay tuned, and as always—thank you for being here.
With much love,
Lizzie
